After having struggled and tried all of the Iphone and Android apps for DVR, CCTV and surveillance, I finally got the only one that works with that model:
It is iDMSS for Iphone and gDMSS for Android.
I hope this will save you some time…

Recently I had this weird problem where a Windows XP machine wouldn’t communicate with a certain modem. All other possibilities work (Machine – other modems / modem – other machines).
There was no activity signalled on the modem but I knew both ends were connected. I started messing up with the NIC settings and something weird happened, I changed the speed from “Auto” to “10Mbps Full Duplex” and BOOM it was connected. I then tried “100Mbps Full Duplex” and it went back to being unplugged.
Not sure why this particular modem wants this particular speed with this particular NIC but if you get stuck this is always something you can try…
This is the main reason I’m starting this blog. I could not find anything about this issue anywhere on the internet.
This issue is about New Zealand ISPs and this modem/router.
Basically: with the D-Link DSL2642B Wireless Router, if you try to setup a Vodafone or TelstraClear connection, you will get the DSL Led light blinking (It should be steady) and you will call your ISP’s helpdesk for hours without solving your problem.
They will most likely blame the line or say the router is faulty, but there are actually ticks to untick in the advanced mode in order for that bloody DSL light to stay on, and it took me a while to figure it…
So for all of you who struggle with this problem, here it is: In the Advanced mode, under Network Tools, under ADSL, make sure ONLY the first option is ticked (I know it’s weird to have to untick ADSL2 or ADSL2+ options but what do you know?) THAT’S IT.
